Transferring files between your iOS devices is easy with a thumb drive. There are only 7 simple steps, and within minutes, you will be an expert!
Step 1. Place both devices on a flat surface, with their screens facing up.
Step 2. Place the thumb drive on the surface, and give It a spin with your left index and your tight thumb. Lefties may choose to do this with your left thumb and right index.
Step 3. Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for both devices. You do not need to connect to a Wi-Fi network. To do this:
- Swipe up from the bottom edge on an iPhone 6s, 7, 8, SE, and tap on the icons of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- Swipe down from the top right corner on an iPhone XS, XS Max, XR or X, or on any iPad. Tap on the icons of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Step 4. Turn on AirDrop. To do this:
- Press firmly the squared area of the toggles on any iPhone (except iPhone SE and XR), and tap on the AirDrop icon
- Tap and hold the squared area of the toggles on the iPhone SE, XR or on any iPad. Tap on the AirDrop icon
Step 5. Share the files with the Share button.
Step 6. Acknowledge the uselessness of the thumb drive.
Step 7. Apply Marrie Kondo to the thumb drive. With both hands, hold the thumb drive close to heart, thank it, and put it on eBay for sale.
You will now have the files transferred to your other device!
